And just like that, another school year has gone by without enough time to blink. Of course there are those classes you wish you went to more, the grades you should have gotten, but there are the memories you’ll never forget and the people who impact your lives in ways you didn’t think were possible. 

Sitting through this year’s graduation had a different feel than last. Perhaps it was the inevitable feeling knowing that this was the LAST things this years seniors would do, together as a class and individually. This meant that my time as a senior was close to beginning, and I still feel nowhere near prepared. Still, it’s a time of bittersweet celebration filled with excitement for those who have finished and a sadness knowing that I will not see some of these incredible people for a while. I’ve never been really good at expressing myself in the moment, but i don’t think the few words of “Congratulations! You’re done!” do my sentiments true justice.

Seniors, I am grateful for your leadership, for your willingness to take time and help us through our problems, even when you’re not always sure where your next step will be. Thanks for caring for us/showing us hospitality and displaying selflessness when it comes to sharing what you have with others. Thanks for the free meals, the late nights, the conversations, the good advice and the bad advice, the countless moments of shared laughter, and all the mistakes in-between to prove that you’re still learning too. It may not mean much coming from someone younger than you, but….

i am proud of you. 

congrats class of 2012. you will be dearly missed. stay in touch, visit us, and continue to grow.

  ..i made more time to reflect. on life, on work, on relationships. everything.

  ..time didn’t fly by so quickly

  ..i could dance

  ..i could express myself better, on paper and in person

  ..i had time to take up photography

  ..i could travel the world

  ..i had less inhibitions of trying to be correct, and would enjoy the imperfections of life

  ..i knew what i was doing with my life

  ..i could reconnect with the people i drifted away from.

  ..music came back into my life. 

  ..for this wishes to stop. and to start making these things into reality.
